Waffle Long Sleeve Thermal

The Waffle Long Sleeve Thermal is cut in 60% combed ring-spun cotton / 40% recycled polyester in a waffle knit construction — the honeycomb cell structure traps small pockets of air against the skin, which is the same mechanism wool uses to insulate, but in a lighter, easier-care fabric.

Waffle knit works because of geometry: the diamond-shaped cells create a three-dimensional surface with more air volume than flat jersey. Trapped air acts as an insulating layer between your skin and the outside temperature. The combed ring-spun cotton fraction (removing short fibres, ring-spinning the long ones) gives the waffle surface a soft hand rather than the scratchy texture of standard thermal weaves. The 40% recycled polyester — spun from post-consumer PET — adds structure to the cell walls so the waffle pattern holds its shape after washing.

Hand-brushed interior gives the inner surface a softer feel against skin. Ribbed cuffs and hem keep their tension after washing.
