Epic CVC Long Sleeve T-Shirt in White — 60% combed ring-spun cotton / 40% post-consumer recycled polyester (rPET). A sustainable everyday long sleeve tee with a clean retail fit.

CVC (Chief Value Cotton) blends use cotton as the dominant fibre — the hand feel and breathability read primarily as cotton. The 40% rPET replaces virgin synthetic fibre with post-consumer recycled polyester without compromising the quality or softness of the blend. The narrow 1x1 rib collar is firmer and cleaner than a standard jersey neckline, lying flat without curling or distorting. Shoulder-to-shoulder neck tape reinforces the neckline against stretch. Ribbed cuffs keep the sleeve ends fitted at the wrist rather than loose.

Retail fit: sits at the shoulder, room through the chest, clean straight body. Works as a standalone top in cooler months or as a base layer under a fleece or hoodie. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.

CVC stands for Chief Value Cotton — a blend where cotton is the dominant fibre. The Epic CVC Long Sleeve uses 60% cotton and 40% post-consumer recycled polyester (rPET). The cotton content provides softness and breathability; the rPET adds durability, reduces shrinkage, and diverts plastic from landfill. The result is a tee that feels like cotton but wears better than 100% cotton.
Post-consumer recycled polyester (rPET) is made by processing used plastic bottles into polyester fibre. The rPET in the Epic CVC Long Sleeve replaces virgin synthetic fibre with recycled material without compromising the quality of the fabric. The 40% rPET content is enough to reduce the environmental footprint of the garment significantly while maintaining the comfort of the cotton-dominant blend.
A 1x1 rib collar alternates one knit stitch and one purl stitch to produce a narrow, firm collar band. Compared to a standard jersey neck ribbing, the 1x1 pattern produces a cleaner, narrower collar that lies flat and holds its shape better over time. The shoulder-to-shoulder neck tape reinforces the neckline internally, reducing the risk of stretching and keeping the collar flat wash after wash.
The 40% rPET content significantly reduces shrinkage compared to 100% cotton. Polyester fibres are dimensionally stable and do not contract. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. The 1x1 rib collar and taped neckline also help the collar retain its shape. Overall shrinkage after the first wash should be minimal.
